I have Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering with the expertise in energy systems optimization. I am familiar with optimization-related mathematical modelling of energy systems, various optimization methods, several optimization tools and several programming languages and environments. I have already created and extensively tested my own software that implements multiple binary and integer metaheuristic methods in C# and Python: Genetic Algorithm, Tabu Search, Scatter Search, Ant Colony Optimization, Particle Swarm Optimization, Simulated Annealing and Harmony Search. I suggest creating Genetic Algorithm library (package) with Python, without third-party dependencies. Other options are possible as well, e.g. using NumPy or create the software in C instead of Python.
