Hey, hope your well. So I wanted to work out some of the requirements here. Do you want this as pure postgres? I can do the work much faster in python if you're using that (I noticed that was one of the tagged skills) If pure postgres that also shouldn't be an issue. Do you know what version of postgres you are using? 9.4 introduces some nice features that supports outputting json. Would this function always work on the same table and columns? Or does it need to specify the table and columns when being called? If so we have to make sure the columns are always of the same type. I assume for each column we want to return an integer. I'm not sure what you mean by 'as well as first n rows'. If you can give me more specific details on this feature I would appreciate it. This work is completely doable but to be reasonable I would probably need a day to be on the safe side. What I propose to do in that time is build a test database locally with some dummy data.
