Teach me how to update my websites home page and other page's text.

I recently had developers build my website. I am not an engineer, I am a financial analyst, but I the principles of coding a little bit, I know some html, some python and some SQL Walk me through and set me up so I can change the text on my website so it has the best copy and I can update it myself so I can keep iterating it to be the best words. It takes a long time to update developers and if I could do it on my own I believe I can make a better product. Duties - Help me set up the systems, access, cpanel, and show me how to push code base updates to my website for very simple things - show me how to see how it would look if I made the changes, and then how to push it onto the website to make it live. - Share my screen with me, and tell me what to do, while I record it, so I can refer back to it to do it again. If I have questions answer it for me. - I am thinking I can ctrl+f the text and replace it with other (similar length) text and replace it on the website. I want to see how it would look as an example, and if I like it, make it live. - I believe the the website has php, sql, jquery, I am not sure, you can probably view the source code and tell me what type of script language it is.
