I have a current theme, running SS 4.3 that requires three updates/fixes: - Globally setting uploads to overwrite instead of versioning - Ensuring that posts set with a future publish date only show up at the set time (currently publishing despite future dates) - We have a few content types like News and Events that, for content organisation purposes, want to put in sub-folders by year, but would like to retain their URL’s without resorting to redirects. e.g. /news/2019/post-name would always be /news/post-name

I am an expert in PHP/MYSQL and i know this silverstripe uses same MVC architecture so i can review and do these updates or fixes accordingly. I understand the 2nd point where the posts has to be shown only on that date than it shows all the posts now. 1st point you need to show me with URL and settings on admin so i will review code of it. 3rd point also URL redirection you are saying some other URL format than the current one. SO explain that too please. I have 15+ years of experience in programming and i can help you on this accordingly. so discuss with me more please.

I have strong experience in the past with the SilverStripe framework. Based on the requirements currently provided, the 3 updates / fixes should be easily done: - Globally setting uploads to overwrite instead of versioning: Versioning is the default behaviour for File objects in the SilverStripe framework. The project just needs to be configured so that uploads don't get versioned. - Ensuring that posts set with a future publish date only show up at the set time (currently publishing despite future dates): I assume that this is meaning a post is showing on the frontend. In that case, this will require an additional check on the post so that any posts with a future date are excluded, when the listing of posts is retrieved from the backend. - We have a few content types like News and Events that, for content organisation purposes, want to put in sub-folders by year, but would like to retain their URL’s without resorting to redirects. e.g. /news/2019/post-name would always be /news/post-name The easiest approach is probably to have a new ModelAdmin and add a Year attribute to the different content types. You will then be able to select a specific year from the main view, and then edit the different content types underneath a specific year by viewing the different content types in separate tabs. Looking forward to hearing from you!
