I have purchased a couple of numbers on Twilio. I want to use these numbers with a SIP client - such as X-Lite, Zoiper etc. I do not want the numbers to be forwarded to my cell phone or landline. If someone calls the number, I want X-Lite to ring. I also want to make calls from X-Lite with the Twilio number. I do not want to use a web app.
Here is the deal. I have paid a couple of "experts" for failing. Before you apply, be sure you know what you are doing. Ask questions if something about above described settings is unclear. I will only pay the successful candidate. A powerful server is available, by the way. Tell me what you need and I will make it available to you.
Hello, nice to meet you. I have experience with Twilio. I think I can help you. We probably want to talk before. I have read some of the Twilio docs about this and I think I have a good idea.

Hello,
One downside is that your budget is too low for such a project.
Here is how it should flow:
Twilio offers what is called VOIP i.e. a Twilio number can forward calls to any SIP device (including your XLITE)
But you ought to have software developed to handle these calls. The most used software is Asterisk; though some people prefer Freeswitch, they all work the same.
You will need asterisk installed on your VPS (shared hosting wont work). Then configure your asterisk to forward all calls to SIP device --- this device can be on your phone, desktop pc etc.
Buy a virtual number from Twilio. Configure the number voice url to forward calls to your asterisk server.. and thats it.
You could also use other cheaper services rather call with us instead of Twilio
