Design Contest

Essentially similar to 99designs - though this won't be used for logo design etc. A contest-holder(ch) comes to the site and selects to begin a design contest. The ch answers a series of questions specific to the type of contest he/she is launching (if he/she had selected to launch a different type of design contest, he/she would have been presented with a different series of questions). The question types include checkbox, radio, textarea, sliders, single select, multi select etc. The ch also indicates some other options, with respect to blind contest, private contest etc. - as is found on 99designs. One of the options may be to limit the design contest based on geographic parameters (city, state, province, country etc.). The ch can also upload images, documents, or videos as part of the design brief. The user can link to pinterest pages or other websites as part of the design brief descriptions. Depending on the contest type, the user may have the option to define the duration of the contest. The ch pays the defined sum (as setup by admin) for this contest type. Again, if the ch had selected a different design contest, then the price may have been different. Once the contest is defined (the design brief is complete), designers are notified of a new contest being posted and the designers may review the design brief. If this is a private contest, the ch would invite specific designers to compete. Once the contest is underway, the conversations begin between ch and designers, just as one finds on 99designs. The designers should be given the option of also uploading images, videos, documents (PDF, MSExcel, MSWord etc) as part of their submissions to the ch. The contest essentially follows the same workflow as 99designs, where there are eliminations and X number of designers are selected for the next round. Finally, a single winner is declared. The winner receives the ch entry fee minus a defined commission which goes to the site owner (admin). Each designer will have his/her own 'page' where they can describe their work, and provide other, perhaps more personal details. The page will also show the contests that this designer has previously won and/or in which the designer has participated. Payment methods should be common, allowing PayPal, or credit card through processors such as Stripe. There will be requirements placed upon the winning designers which include, for example, the need to 'deliver' all materials to the ch within a defined period of time. There must be standard e-commerce functionality with respect to account creation for both the ch and designer, the ability to provide refunds, cancel contests etc. There must also be an ability for designers to 'report' other designers who may not be adhere to the privacy, or copyright requirements while participating in a contest. Admin must be able to forward funds to winning designers through the system, and winning designers should be able to transfer those funds to either their own PayPal accounts or some bank(?). There are likely more details that I've overlooked, but am happy to define as the work progresses. Ideally, I would like this to be built within WordPress, using commonly available plugins where possible. Otherwise, custom plugins should be created which play nicely with the latest version of WordPress. Due to the nature of this project, as you can imagine, your own unit, integration and regression testing will be important, as I too will endeavour to test end-to-end as thoroughly as possible.
