I am using PHP websockets (ratchet through [login to view URL]) with Amazon web services (AWS) to create 5 EC2 instances through an auto scaling group (ASG) using an SSL ELB (elastic load balancer) for an autoscaling PHP/Jquery chat client. 1 EC2 instance sends a chat message but another EC2 instance receives the chat message due to the load balancer redirecting traffic (hence users do not see the other chat message). Sticky sessions on the ELB do not help. To get a 10/10 rating create a very simple PHP chat (I don't want a chat engine I already have one) and show that 5 different users running on 5 different EC2 instances can send and receive messages with no message loss. For example, User 1 on EC2 1 can send and receive messages from User 2 on EC2 4 and User 3 on EC2 5 can send and receive messages from User 1 on EC1. Must run on PHP and websockets (not node.js / socket server etc).
