Newsmonitor for reporters. I need an util that translate keywords through Google Translate, feeds them to Google News, reads the output, translates the information back through Google Translate and presents the output on screen like a RSS-reader. It should be a stand alone util for Windows. Purpose: reporters want check if foreign media wrote about something they are interested in. The news monitor can only use Google News and Google Translate (so not Babelfish in Yahoo Pipes )
So how must the util work? Let's give an example. 1. Search string User enters a search string in your util, say ARRESTED and NEW YORK. 2. Google Translate User wants to translate the search string in language that is supported by Google Translate. In this example: German. ARRESTED and NEW YORK is translated into VERHAFTET and NEW YORK 3. Google News The words VERHAFTET and NEW YORK are entered as new search string into the German Google news, news.google.de. It results in news articles with the words VERHAFTED and NEW YORK in it. 4. Output It's probably wise to convert the articles into RSS. That's easy, it's already in Google News implemented. 5. Translate it back with Google Translate Now it has to be translated back in the original language, in this case ENG There is a bonus for good work and a long term relation possible for future versions.
