Complete SQL Database for .NET Application

I retired in 2002 after 25-years developing database designs and applications for a range of clients. I had a decent run on Elance doing similar things and then got into a long term engagement with a client in the Netherlands doing SQLServer development that ran for a few years. In 2007 I returned to freelancing and worked through ELance through 2008 when I got into another long term engagement. Now I'm back on Elance but you have to go a few years back in my profile to see client assessments of my capabilities, I've just begin to explore Freelancer. Both of these engagements involved the design and development of applications in C#.Net to provide interfaces to SQL databases. The second engagement was closer to your project and involved converting/transitioning a desktop application (Excel, SQLServer and C#.Net) to a web site. I designed the database and managed the project but my principal contribution was developing the web services that provided access to data and procedures on SQLServer. We did all of the heavy lifting/computations (e.g. for charts and graphs) on the services side and delivered easily linkable datasets to the web site. The site was implemented in ASP.Net using C# and DevEx controls. Prior to that my principal services for that client were linking to and extracting data from a range of CMS systems (the application in question was a sales management tool). Since then I've continued working with SQLServer and C# development. I've spent a fair amount of time experimenting with MVC and MVVM but in the desktop environment. I've spent a fair amount of time experimenting with Silverlight and WPF but have not had any actual engagements in the area. I develop using VS 2010 and SQLServer 2008R2. I have many years of database design and implementation experience. I've developed hundreds of stored procedures using T-SSQL and, since the advent of SQLServer2008, have increasingly used CLR for complex procedures. I'm sure I can be a significant and cost-effective addition to your development team and I look forward to hearing from you. I'm somewhat at a loss estimating how much support you will require on the project. I recently reduced my rate in the hopes of being more competitive since my principal aim is to participate in interesting projects and make significant contributions to them. To that end my bid is positioned at the lower end of your estimate. For that you'll get up to 80 hours of professional support over a month or so.

Main specialization is back-end programming: SOAP, WCF services and Data processing on MS SQL server. I have 5 years endless practice with ASP.NET (WEB Forms and MVC). Here are answers to your requirements: 1. SQL - my main tool T-SQL on MS SQL database; MySQL is well me known because of minor differences from MS SQL, 2. Visual Studio - I am working with VS 2010 and VS 2012 (depends client's project) - VS 2008 is slight forgotten, 3. WEB services - main target is WCF and WEB API REST services, support services on PHP is possible but I have small practice here (was working with CodeIgniter only), 4.
