LDAP + Map and GIS Project ( Coder Identification)

This is a preliminary request to identify coders who have done work projects that involve Mapping, GIS and LDAP. The gist of the project I have in mind is a web portal where: 1. By using a map interface a geographical region is selected. 2. A query is then run against LDAP to find all users and units whose location attributes match the selected region. The LDAP directory is a master directory organized by units but location data is likely street addresses and zipcode ( and not lat/long or GIS friendly sets) I have other programs that will use the list of users and units so returned. My preference is for Java developers, but .NET or php/perl is fine also since the rest of my software will consume the GIS+LDAP results using APIs. The coders that I imagine well suited for this are those who are familar with *Open source GIS tools, including databases with GIS extensions *Drag and select map interfaces,rich client UI, Ajax *Creation of REST style(XML/HTTP) APIs *LDAP. I have no pre stated preference for GIS tools, GIS enabled databases or LDAP servers so in your reply please indicate recommended tools. This is a new project so GIS tools can be specified. For the first prototype phase, a US only implementation is fine. More details will be available to the right coders - at the moment I am interested in identifying the coders who have done recent work using open source tools in this arena. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
