I run Linux Slackware 7.1 kernel 2.4.5 Need to create sign up for potential customers from hand out floppy disk. Perl or C++ prefered. I was told to have a standard user name and password on our system that will not allow access beyond the server if they use dial-in for signup. I can program our install disk to a default user name and password and web page URL to bring them at when they start their browser. Can also be a completely new install disk setup. The page will be a signup page that will require them to enter valid Debit or credit card information. Does not need to verify charge amounts live, just that the card meets certain criteria of being valid numbers. We only accept certain card types VISA/MC/AMEX only. I will process them later. If they are declined I can delete or remove them at that time. The 24 hour sign up will allow me to create a data base of names, phone numbers, address's, credit card numbers, of people not to accept and the signup will review this file before allowing any new signup. After the signup process is complete, make the necessary changes to their email, DNS, network(If needed) and home page settings. When changing their email settings, will prompt them if they want to keep their old email account if one is found and delete it if they don't want to keep. The user interface will have to be very specific to be very friendly and understandable by the very novice user. Will require configuration or instruction to configure server to prevent signup temporary signup name from getting to the outside. Complete testing required.
