Please read through these prior to placing your bid.** Craig Harrison: i have created an html demo of the newsletter creation page for the admin and have several other files with layouts etc Chetan PAl: ok Chetan PAl: whats happens Craig Harrison: not sure Craig Harrison: I'll upload to my server and send a link Chetan PAl: ok Craig Harrison: [login to view URL] Craig Harrison: let me know when you have the page open so i can explain each section Chetan PAl: yes i see your page Craig Harrison: ok. Module is standard oscommerce option Craig Harrison: Same with newsletter title Chetan PAl: yes Craig Harrison: Heading banner is an option to either upload a banner or use an existing one. If a banner is uploaded it must be saved to a folder on the website and be shown in the existing banner list for all future newsletters Chetan PAl: ok Craig Harrison: General Text is the same as the standard text in the default oscommerce newsletter, but is only shown if there is text entered. Chetan PAl: ok Craig Harrison: Section 1 is the start of the first section for the newsletter. We need to be able to add additional sections for each newsletter. This should allow an unlimited amount of sections. This option will use the "Add Another Section" button on the bottom right of the page Chetan PAl: ok Craig Harrison: Category is a dropdown menu showing the category tree as in the catalog page in admin. Once selected the next section will populate its 5 dropdowns with products from teh selected category and all of its sub categories. Chetan PAl: i dont get it Chetan PAl: about your products dropwdowan Chetan PAl: many products dropdown Craig Harrison: ok. The products dropdown will allow the selection of 5 products to insert into the newsletter Craig Harrison: [login to view URL] Chetan PAl: use want multiple selections of products Craig Harrison: this link will give you an idea of the display for each section Craig Harrison: yes Chetan PAl has closed photo sharing. Chetan PAl: but it can we done by single multiple select drop down Craig Harrison: Can the multiple selection be limited to only selecting 5 products? Chetan PAl: ok i get it Craig Harrison: there MUST be 5 product selected Chetan PAl: ok Craig Harrison: Ok the next part of the admin may require a bit of explaining. Craig Harrison: There is an option to select news article OR upload a collage image and featured content Craig Harrison: If a news article is selected the the collage image and featured content are not used Chetan PAl: or i know there is or option Craig Harrison: yes Craig Harrison: i'm thinking that the best way to do this would be with some javascript and two radio buttons. This way we show Insert News OR Featured Box and then have the options display on selection Chetan PAl: ok Chetan PAl: radio button Craig Harrison: The news articles can be seen on the homepage of the website. These will display an image and text just like the featuredand collage Chetan PAl: ok Craig Harrison: [login to view URL] Craig Harrison: do you have any questions so far? Chetan PAl: no not now Craig Harrison: I'm organising a screengrab of the full newsletter at the moment. should only be a couple of minutes Chetan PAl: ok Craig Harrison: ok the full newsletter is being shared now Chetan PAl: ok Craig Harrison: does the image make it easier to understand? Chetan PAl: yes Craig Harrison: So basically each "section" will contain the 5 products and the featured box or News article and be displayed in the format shown on the image Chetan PAl: ok Craig Harrison: The whole newsletter system need to be template based and allow adding of additional template Craig Harrison: I was thinking this would be best using several HTML files with tags in them Craig Harrison: So there would be one for the header, one for the sections that would be used multiple times based on how many sections are entered, and one for the footer Chetan PAl: ok Craig Harrison: Each template file should be named templatename_header, templatename_section, templatename_footer Craig Harrison: and be an option at the top of the newsletter page to allow selecting which template to use Craig Harrison: does that make sense to you? Chetan PAl: ok Chetan PAl: i think we can change any Chetan PAl: section Chetan PAl: like header , footer and body Craig Harrison: ok Craig Harrison: i just caled it section so you knew which part i was talking about Craig Harrison: and templatename is the variable. So it could be xmas_header etc Chetan PAl: ok Craig Harrison: is there anything else you need to know? Chetan PAl: no Craig Harrison: what is your estimated time to complete? Chetan PAl: it takes 3 to 4 days to me ## Platform oscommerce
