Simple java applet. You can even base the work on [login to view URL] Applet must load in a web page with params indicating which files to download and execute. Rely on windows file associations to open the file with the appropriate application (e.g. if the file to be downloaded is a wmv file, simply execute the wmv file and windows media player should jump in and run... if the file to be downloaded is a .exe file then simply execute it... etc..etc..) Primary requirements are: 1 - Small size. Example applet is only 4k jarred. 2 - Must run on Windows XP default Java Virtual Machine (no external downloads required) 3 - Must allow for up to 5 but no less than one files to be downloaded and executed. 4 - The base url for the files to be fetched must be inside of the java, only the directory and file name will be passed in via the params. 5 - Even if you do a threaded download (multiple files downloading at the same time) the files must be executed in the same order they were passed in. We will sign the applet, so priveleged actions are ok (in fact probably necessary)... if you can figure out how to do this without using any priveleges outside of the sandbox i'm quite sure there would be a hefty bonus in it for you from microsoft ;-) Completion of this both quickly and properly will probably lead to a few more jobs.
