I'm creating a classifieds system using an xml file as the datasource (no database available before you ask). My xml file is structured like the attached file as well as the submit advert file and the search adverts file (with the xsl)
when a user submits an advert, it is emailed to an address containing the required xml code. I then have a script which adds the entry from the mailbox to the xml file and also inserts a unique ad_ref id.
however, given that my audience aren't going to be particularly techie, I wanted an easy way for them to edit an advert. I've seen the article by Michael Qualls on [login to view URL] but that's only working with 1 entry and the xml file structure is totally different to mine.
What I need to do is display the entire list of entries (my xsl will do this) and then give the option to edit/delete an entry by somehow passing the unique ID - but how?
Should add that I'm only able to use XML and ASP.
