140811 script mods - 4 PHP/mySQLsites

script mods and additions needed for 4 sites PHP/mySQL/Apache I have 4 sites that need modifications to their existing php/mySQL based installations. All are up and running currently. Cpanel access provided. For needed scripts/modules that we do not have (such as registration & member management systems - see below), I recommend free PHPmySQL scripts from [login to view URL] - I ALSO am fine with using PAID versions from that source,as long as they are reasonably priced and contain the features we require as noted. The one script that needs installation that I *will* provide is mysimpleads. Again, the basic PHP/mySQL scripts are already installed, and the vendors are noted. Which is cool, but I need for it to include a field for email address, and then send a verification email (with a verification link that the registrant needs to click on). I know there are php/mySQL site registration scripts floating around that send/require the person who registers to click on the link and verify their registration, yada yada…I realize this will likely require a mod to the actual mySQL DB as well from its current form. 2) add one of the widely available free PHP tell-a-friend scripts (or a paid version, I am fine with paying a small charge for the best version), again I recommend browsing for one at [login to view URL], but make sure it is one that allows for a bunch of emails to be entered (not just one) and DOESN'T let anyone else piggyback on my traffic (like a TAF “service”). It should be the result when someone clicks “invite friends” on main page. Change any “tell friends” wording and text in the TAF script to “invite friends” 3) Along the top edge (but do not add to height of page) add the following 3 text links in a single row: a) [login to view URL] widget (medium sized one) b) Add the button for selected TAF form c) Add a “signup for the PartyZone Live! Newsletter” link (will link to A-weber opt-in process) 4) Add basic relevant HTML meta-tags (description/title/keywords) 5) In the new user registration module, add “sync” to the co-reg path. For this site, do : mobile/ringtones AND Entertainment/music/videos AND dating with 4 as the number of offers for category rotation and just pick a good-looking template (and we shouldn't need any further customization). 6) Add support/help form (script) – for the “help” link - send form to support@[login to view URL] and add support as an email address in cpanel 7) Add user/pass retrieval form/script – I am ASSUMING there are free versions of this floating around for PHP/mySQL – they just do a basic mySQL query and email the output 8) Edit /v3chatrooms/[login to view URL] as follows: set the default window size for the chat window (lobby or whatever room) so that the default is big enough to include the banners and the sidebars (now its way too small by default), and add to the “greeting text this warning “NOTE: BE SURE AND DISABLE POPUP BLOCKERS IN ORDER TO DO 121 CHAT (both participants)”. Keep it resizable tho. Also in the “options” button once in the chat room or lobby, when the “upload avatar” button is clicked, you need to change that default window size too. It is way too small. Set it to a size that allows full display of the avatar and the buttons! I don't think u need to make it resizable tho. – the “upload avatar” window is too small it must be 2X the height it is..”admin” window is also too small..make sure the default sizes of these windows is large enough to display everything. 9) Test and make sure messages auto-scroll at the bottom of each page (they didn't when I tested it) 10) Also in the new user registration script, include the additional user info “profile” fields as allowable user input (but do not make them mandatory, they may be left blank…add an asterix next to the mandatory fields which are user name/password/email address..and add an option in the drop-down list in the “options” window for “edit my profile”. 11) add a new vertical panel in the left edge of the main chat window…large enough to easily display a 160X600 banner, which is what it will be used for. Make sure and tell me where in the html to place the code for the panel's contents (I will likely be adding ad network code or an ad rotator code or scripts) 12) add a new vertical panel in the right edge of the main chat window (to the RIGHT of the connected user list)…large enough to easily display a 160X600 banner, which is what it will be used for.
