This project is to create a proof-of-concept showing a softphone installed locally on a Windows PC to:
-Receive an incoming call
-Post data about that call to a web service on a remote web server on the internet.
-Receive back from that web service another URL.
-Pop that received URL in the default web browser on the local Windows PC
Requirements
------------------
The project should require no hardware - all services are hosted VOIP provider and a softphone installed on the Windows PC.
You may choose the softphone to be used. I would prefer it be compatible with [login to view URL]'s hosted VOIP service. If it is not, please recommend another low-cost hosted VOIP provider that it will work with.
The URL the softphone initially call to the remotely hosted web service will contain data about that particular call and will be structured something like this:
And the URL it will receive back and pop will look something like this:
This received URL represents a data collection form the user will fill out. But it will be prepopulated with information about that incoming call.
Deliverable
----------------
The deliverable can be as simple as a detailed set of instructions and screen shots to make this work.
