Process:

Schematic to be done first and approved, followed by PCB layout to meet [login to view URL] manufacturing guidelines.

Details:

Design must be done in Eagle.

Spreadsheet shows pin to plug assignments in conjunctions with attached sketch showing approximate expectation of PCB layout. The intention is to keep the PCB on a 2 layer board and small but make sure there is enough space to access the plugs. PCB will need some mounting holes and they will be confirmed when the layout is done.

Pin assignment can be adjusted with approval to improve trace routing on the PCB but must remain consistent between plugs.

This board is to run external stepper drivers with some sundry inputs available.

Plugs P1-6 are outputs; GND, 5V, Enable, Step, Direction. The enable pin is a common connection across plugs 1-6 to enable and disable all steppers together.

Plugs P7-14 are input pins with A0 possibly being used to drive the enable pin on the steppers. Space needs to be made for a surface pullup resistor to be soldered in place between each input pin A0-7 and 5V.

Jumper J1 is used to select whether the enable pin is set to GND or connected to Pin A0.

Hardware:

XH Plugs to be used for P1-14 (similar to [login to view URL])

Standard 2.54mm header pins to be used for Jumper J1.
