Work Required =========== 1. Check the schematic against the technical references, and fix any circuitry errors. 2. Make revisions: - Switch to the specified magjack. - Eliminate RTC clock. - Change to use only three voltages: - Increase the supported voltage / minimize component count for the power block: . Change the 3.3V board power input to use the Maxim MAX17634AATP+. . Cascade the EA3059 off of the 3.3V regulator. . Use the EA3059 only for 1.8V (or switch to a lower-cost regulator with fewer support components). - Switch the 1.2V power-line from using the EA3059 to using the Diodes AP2132BMP-1.2TRG1 to reduce component count. - Ensure all the power lines turn-on within spec of the V3s. Perhaps, use a duel-channel load-driver switch to have the 1.2V line turn-on 1.8V and 3.3V lines, or use a single-channel load-driver switch on the 1.8V line turn on the 3.3V line. Switch for controlling 1.8V and 3.3V from 1.2V TI TPS22968NDPUR Digikey Q100 $0.548 Switch for controller 3.3V from 1.8V TI TPS22919 Digikey Q100 $0.135 3. Place the utilized non-base parts in one library, and clean-up the schematic symbols and footprints: - Ensure they are labelled properly with part numbers and values where appropriate; - The visibility of the part number, values, and other notes are set properly and in proper positions; - Align the schematic pins with the grid, (perhaps 2.54 mm grid). 4. Clean up the schematic. - Ensure all component labels are: o turned the same way; o in sensible locations, and; o as close to the components as feasible. - Appropriately size traces: o optimizing for manufacturability, and; o making all Ethernet signal traces, and power traces as thick as practical. 5. Layout the PCB and design the footprint for the castellated holes board-to-board connections. Adjust the contact order and choice of available signals to minimize layout effort and to make the PCB as small as practical while still exposing some useful signals for expansion. Requirements =========== The work will be performed using DipTrace 4.0. Additional components needed from DigiKey, Mouser, and/or other suppliers. All components must be listed in Active production and order-able in quantities <= 500. Capacitors and resistors must be from DigiKey or Mouser. The design/board should only include the components necessary to power and run the V3s booting off of a microSD card that will be soldered to the PCB, and operate the Ethernet interface. Deliverables ========= 1. The revised circuit component schematic in DipTrace 4.x .dch format. 2. Library of custom designed component schematic symbols attached to footprints in DipTrace 4.x .eli format. 3. The revised PCB is DipTrace 4.x .dip format.
