Balanced Healing for Heroes App Balanced Healing for Heroes is a nonprofit organization formed to support the Mental, Physical, Emotional, and Spiritual health for our Veterans and Active service members. The App (functions) Section 1 •The app will have a daily meditation posted to listen to. We want to be able to upload the recorded meditation with a background image and the title of the meditation (possibly a subject description) to click on to start the meditation. •We would like to be able to preload a weeks worth (7 days)of meditations at a time that will automatically post each new meditation at midnight. •There will be daily notification sent to all subscribers in the morning that welcomes them to today’s meditation. •We would like there to be a “share this meditation” button at the bottom of each meditation that actually shares a link to download the app to friends by text. Section 2 This is a “trouble shooting tool”for emotional, mental, and physical support where the participant can click on a combination of emojis (with a description beside them) and it generates a predetermined list of possible solutions and suggestions that might help with the described conditions. Here is an example. Today I am feeling - [x] depressed ? - [ ] confused ? - [ ] anxious ? - [ ] sad ? - [ ] angry ? - [x] no energy ? - [ ] can’t sleep ? - [x] lack of focus? There should be a “find suggestions” button at the bottom of the list. When this button is pushed we want the preloaded solutions page to appear. (The combination of categories checked will determine what page of solutions will appear) This page, or list of solutions will have several categories to scroll through. Here is an example. - [x] depressed ? - [x] no energy ? - [x] lack of focus? Suggestions for supplements/amino acids You may be low in Catecholamines. Try L-Tyrosine 500-2000mg (add fish oil omega-3 1-3 grams) Catecholamines assist with alertness, energy, mental focus, drive, and enthusiasm. Enthusiasm. Substances and foods to avoid that may cause this Deficiency Starch, chocolate, aspartame, alcohol, marijuana, opiates, caffeine, cocaine, diet pills, tobacco, Wellbutrin, Ritalin, Adderall Diet Eating nutritious vegetables and protein and avoiding too much caffeine, sweets, and starches will aid in catecholamine production. Exercise Daily cardio especially in the morning for at least 20 minutes will improve energy levels. This includes brisk walking, jogging or running as well as aerobic type activities including cross training machines. Suggested Activities Daily meditation and breath work. Note: We will provide a chart in which we number the conditions and will show what combinations of numbers will generate what Suggestion page. There may be certain combinations (if a large number of conditions are selected) that may generate more than one suggestion page. Section 3 This section will just be buttons that link the participant to several pages available on our website Examples: Upcoming events Donate now Contact us Past meditations
