See the attached PDF file that contains a description of the articles. CIick on the outlined boxes surrounding the titles.

This should cause your browser to open the original source PDF file from the internet.

The project contains a total of 63 scanned [url removed, login to view] bid should reflect that.

Please try

to duplicate the contents as closely as you can (changing the fonts is appropriate provided you do it consistently throughout

the articles (there are 4 other project with similar titles that complete the collection of articles Grothendieck wrote).

I would suggest using the LaTeX directive \usepackage to force page breaks that coincide with the original scanned source files. In this way, you can compare the original scanned PDF with the one you'll generate from your typeset source side-by-side on your computer display. You may need to shrink the font size for the general text so as to allow the page breaks to occur.

Be sure to use UTF-8 encoding (i.e., Unicode). This can be done as follow (if you use pdflatex):

\usepackage[utf8]{inputenc}

in the preamble.

Also \usepackage[french]{babel}

to handle French hyphenation patters.

I would suggest starting off the document with:

\documentclass{amsart}

For commutative diagrams with arrows and labeled arrows

use the xypic LaTeX package. I will help you as you work on it by answering any questions you have. See

[url removed, login to view]

for documentation about AMS styles and documentclasses.

Your own TeX distribution should already have this builtin.

Use the LaTeX command
ewpage to force page breaks to coincide the original version.

I have attached the PDF file 1-Manifest_SHC_AG.pdf. Click on the outlined titles to get the original source files.

Do NOT hesitate to ask me any questions as you work on this.
