I am needing to match words (directories on a server) using regular expression for exclusion. Example: \\server01\c$\_chkpt\dail_fins02$_23 I need to match the \\server01 AND any line that may be a variant of c$ OR any line that contains chkpt, OR any line that contains .etc I need to also be able to easily edit the items being matched. I know some regular expression, but am not good for this.

I am Python coder, but in JS regexps are mostly the same Maybe it helps: The string: '\\server01\next$\_and_next\1and_next_again12\the_last_one' ([^\\]+?.*?)\\ matches 'server01' AND 'next$' AND '_and_next' AND '1and_next_again12' .+\\(.+?)$ matches 'the_last_one' (\\\\.+?)\\ matches '\\server01' Best regards, Pavlo
