I'm looking for the possibilty, to make content from my WordPress pages horizontal scrollable (as we know it from Sliders, but with using a "classical" Slider Plugin).
I'm running a WordPress Page with GeneratePress Child-Theme and Elementor Pro. The site already has a few customizations, mainly a vertical sticky menu area. I'm also using the MediaGrid-Plugin, which is JS/Ajax based and also a Scrollbar-Plugin. At the end, everything has to work without any Plugin/JS conflicts!
While it is already possible to make horizontal scrolling websites with Elementor (see [login to view URL] ), this solution doesn't work out for me, since the WHOLE page scrolls in and out and also requires a 100% width container, which would destroy my page layout.
The result should look/work similar to this: [login to view URL]
and probably be based on a JS libary like this: [login to view URL]
[login to view URL] is very popular and allows also horizontal scrolling pages. The Author also released a WP Plugin ([login to view URL]),
but this only works with the Gutenberg editor and - according to the Author - not with any PageBuilder. So the goal could be to implement this Script into WP/Elementor and make it work on my page.
Another solution my be [login to view URL], but this is pure HTML/CSS based and may not work in all Browsers(!?).
Whatever solution you come up with is fine for me, but I prefer the [login to view URL] solution since there are addons available, which I'm interested in (esp. this [login to view URL] ).
The challenge seems to be, that all above solutions are based on the concept, that you wrap certain sections of the single page together and mark them as one section, which scrolls in and out. In Elementor this would be the „Sections“. The problem: my page layout consits of a couple of sections and I don't know how to address them all at the same time, while others should be part of the next slider-page (in the attach you find a screenshot of my website – the blue line mark the diefferent sections there.)
- it must be guaranteed that future WordPress, Theme, Elementor and Plugin updates are possible and will not lead to a loss of site functionality!
- work must be done on my webserver as I don't want to face any kind of surprises after the migration.
There will be 3 milestones payments. 1st one 20% of the project budget after all open questions are answered and the project starts,
40% when the project is half done and a preview is available, 40% when project is fully done, running and tested on my server.
- don't submit an offer when you don't have the time to do this job! It's important to keep the deadline!
- haven't read carefully this text and don't understand what I'm looking for
- don't have the technically skills to do the job
Looking forward to your offer!
