159129 Google Maps javascript

I have a requirement to add Google Maps to my Web site. I require a simple javascript to read in and xml file, create the side bar html entries (links) and google map markers. When you click on the side bar link a pop up info window opens to display the text , an image and url link ( if defined in the xml file ) . Check boxes are required to select the marker list. This is identical (but simplified) to the Google map implimentation at a Travel Site: [login to view URL] I have done some work on this myself but my java knowledge is lacking ! I require plenty of coding coments so I can understand the program. I would be incorporating into my Web page myself.
