We currently have already a couple of applications that we have rebranded and also assisted in developing with a team in Hungary for Blackberry and Benefon TWIG, in addition to a Canadian team for our satellite based trackers (iridium/inmarsat). In essence, we would like to develop an application, firstly for BlackBerry, that will interface directly with google-earth or bing maps giving options to track and to send a location on pressing for instance - the center button for 3 seconds to act as a distress call, sending the devices location. I can point you to a couple of freeware applications that are working fine and would actually be adequate for our use if rebranded to us and with the 'panic' functionality.
