Map Drawing and Graphic Design

We are a testing service for electromagnetic fields ("EMF"). Sources of EMFs include cell phone towers, electrical power lines, neighboring homes, among other things. When we provide a report to our clients showing the levels of EMFs in their home or business, we would also like to provide a map illustrating the sources of EMFs and the distance of these sources from a home or business. Your project would be to create a one-page map showing (1) the home or business (we will provide address), (2) the sources of EMFs that we designate (see below note), (3) the distance of the sources of EMF from the home or business and (4) and other information that we will provide. Attached is a sample map. To mark the sources of EMFS, we will provide you with our hand sketch of the area around the home or business, but you will have to use one of several websites to plot other sources of EMFs, such as cell phone tower locations (we will give you website and tell you to plot everything within a certain distance -- typically 1/4 to 1/2 of a mile). You will also have to make judgment calls -- for example, if we hand mark a power line, you will have to look on Google Maps (or whatever resource you prefer) to see the break in the tree line to accurately plot the power line and plot the distance to the home or business. Generally, we are only concerned with a 1/4 mile area around the home or business, so we anticipate that you would only plot 5-15 data points on a map (with a description or legend and distances). This is NOT a one-time project -- we are looking for our "go-to" map maker for our regular projects over time. Please keep this in mind when you bid for the work. Your bid can be on an hourly or per-map basis. Additionally, if you have the capability to handle the other aspects of our report (specifically, to graphically redesign it and input data that we give you), that would be a plus.
