PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - IF YOU WANT YOUR BID CONSIDERED PLEASE READ the entire job posting. If you don't, you're simply wasting your time and mine. I hired a web developer who began re-designing my entire site. I loved his artistic flair/style and the quality of his work, how he incorporated flowing lines into the site rather than the standard "boxy" feel. How he came up with different features and animations to show me, tested out color schemes to give me options, and added his own flair to bring my text and content to life. What I didn't like was him lying to me constantly, scheduling time to talk with me where he never showed up, or telling me I'd get an update in 2 hours and then not hearing from him for 4 days... So I had no choice but to fire him. (here are some examples of his incomplete work: [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL]) I hired a new developer, but the sample they sent for the re-design of my home page was horrible. Zero artistry, zero flair, pastel and worn out colors that make you want to sleep, and overall they took what the other guy did for me and made it worse than an amateur would do. And yet the work they showed me in their portfolio was amazing! This taught me that a lot of "web developers" just take the amazing PSD the client created and upload it - then take credit for designing the site (which they had no part in). I am not an artist. I am not a web developer. I am a business owner who is an engineer, and I make the best products in the world in my field. But when I look at my competitor's websites, I realize that my online presence and digital image does not represent my brand. It does not represent me as the best, most technologically advanced, most professional and up-to-date company in my industry. Instead my current website shows an outdated company that's design is irrelevant to the modern consumer. A design lacking in interactive features, animation and artistic flair. Missing a good color scheme and that "WOW" factor modern consumers love. With a long load time and poor mobile presence. Instead what I want to see is the best, most professional, engaging, interactive and animated site in my industry. One that makes my competitors look outdated and irrelevant. One that captures the heart of the consumer. Because I'm here to hire an ARTIST, not someone who takes a PSD and uploads it to the web, I need to see your skill, your flair, your edge - that competitive advantage you can add to my site to make me stand out. And I need to see that you have not just the artistic talent, but the ability to code that talent into beautifully animated features. My current website is: [login to view URL] Competing websites: [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] The text, titles and ideas I have (which are there for inspiration to the artist) for my new home page are attached to this job. Red text is ideas, black/purple/pink/blue text is content. I have 2 other landing pages that will require the same quality and detail as my home page. One is 1/2 the size of the home page, the other is 1/4 the size. On top of this all remaining informational pages on my site will need to be re-made with a modern layout (but they are not sales-funnel pages, so they don't need the heavy animation/interactive features). You bid is for the ENTIRE JOB, not just the home page, not just 3 landing pages. Mobile, Tablet and PC versions. You have now seen some examples from an artist/developer who's work I liked, but who's work ethic was unprofessional (and thus he no longer works for me). You've also seen my current site and several of my competitors to get a sense/feel for the market and what I'm up against. Now show me what you can do!
