If we use the analogy of a bike wheel (I love cycling!) to describe my skills, the hub of the wheel (my main skill set) would be designing and creating high quality Squarespace sites.
Ok, so I love Squarespace. Not only is it nice to customise, easy to use, and easy on the eyes, but it also makes the build process simpler for the client and myself. The client can review designs and enhancements as they happen, and provide timely feedback.
Some of the key spokes (individual skills) I leverage to deliver value include:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. I really enjoy working with a diverse range of people.
• Enthusiasm and energy.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills. There's always a way to move forward, it just needs the time to find it!
• An innate understanding that whilst projects need a good project plan, this plan has to be agile so it can adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
• A constant focus on quality and therefore process improvement.
• An authentic passion for the whole process of the design and development lifecycle. The journey of discovery in understanding the requirements, documenting the functionality, sketching of wireframes, showing through the use of website build, through to managing the delivery, training and support.
