Hi there MYSTERY WRITERS, Are you up for the challenge of writing weekly 450 - 550 word mystery story puzzles? Do you want to earn $15/mystery to write a comedy crime puzzles that are both riveting and wacky at the same time? Can you write a crime puzzle that is solvable by the reader? It’s as easy as 1-2-3... 1. You devise a secret, “nefarious organisation” and give them a somewhat ridiculous “mission statement” 2. The crime is committed by an undercover member of your “nefarious organisation” directly related to the organisation's stated motive, 3. You write an original 450 - 550 word mystery story in which the reader must attempt to identify the culprit from at least 3 possible suspects (Please Note: I DO NOT PAY FOR COPIED CONTENT). Example: 1. An evil Teddy Bear trafficking organisation wants to control the entire world’s trade in teddy bears. 2. The home of a prominent Teddy Bear manufacturer is burgled and secret plans are stolen by an undercover member of the gang. 3. See the full story for this example in the attached spec. NB. If you are interested in taking a stab, ahem, at writing these short mysteries, then please read through the attached spec BEFORE submitting your bid. Have some fun with your Nefarious Organisation - if we love your story then you'll have the opportunity to write recurring mysteries for your Nefarious Organisation as well as the opportunity to create others. As an avid reader, I am very familiar with the whodunnit genre. Here is a sample of my writing. Todd leaned against the wall, watching his remote as it charged. “What a geeky thing to do,” he thought. “What I really want to do is get a date.” But what else could he do but wait? As a boy who only had a high school science background, Todd knew little about anything else. Especially not about women. As an eighteen year old high school senior, all Todd could dream about was the girls in his senior class. That was obvious, but of course the girls didn’t like him as much as he liked them. And Todd respected that. But it was because Todd was realizing what he really wanted to do, as a teenage boy, was to get close to a girl who liked him back. All he knew was that charging batteries took up time from his other experiments. Especially experiments like his shrink ray device. Yes, a shrink ray device that fit right in the front hip pocket of his off-brand designer jeans. Todd had stood in the middle of his room, many times now, and shrunken himself down to the size of a small human being. It was scary at first, because Todd didn’t know what the shrinking down would do to him, and then returning to full size was unimaginable. Oddly enough, the shrink ray scaled down to the size of Todd’s new form, which made it the best invention of all times.
