Industrial 6 axis robot design

I am interested in working with somebody in undertaking calculations and possible design of a functional industrial robot with a payload of 5 kg. I require that you have knowledge on how a 6 axis robot works - Sizing AC synchronous drive motors, Harmonic Drives (strain wave gearing). I am more so interested in the hardware side of configuring a robotic arm rather then software, sensors, drives and controllers. You will need to do calculations such as:
1. Working out gearing ratios to achieve the desired torque in each axis
2. Working out the optimal length of each axis to achieve the desired payload
3. Calculating the reach of the robot
4. Provide assistance in choosing and sizing the correct motor for the application
5. Working out the range of motion that each axis provides and the point in which payload capacity decreases.
6. Help me with any gaps in my knowledge and hints for Vendors to supply components
7. Possibly design a prototype in Solidworks - up for discussion once other questions have been solved. Read Less
