Find Error in mechanical engineering example problem using column analogy method.

I have an example problem of a loaded ring solved using the column analogy method. I have been able to reproduce the problem in Excel and get the same results as the example. However, when I change the loading to a simpler case I do not get the expected symmetric solution. i.e. T1 = T2 the bending moment should be symmetric. Looking for the error in the Excel spreadsheet or the math.
