Hello there, Greetings! I am a motor designer by profession and have high proficiency in Ansys Maxwell for electromagnetic FEA, motor designing and generator designing in static and transient conditions. I can also provide electromagnetic solution for customised design or design to be start from scratch. For your requirement I can simulate the forces and levitation parameters to predict the results, I have been using this tool for motors. I have worked with following motors: 1. BLDC (Brushless Direct Current) 2. PMSM Radial (Inrunner and Outrunner) 3. Axial motors (dual stator/rotor) 4. IPM as well as SPM topology rotors. I have been using the concepts of Magnet Embraces, Halbach array and Reluctance torque in motor designing to have higher performance and efficiency. Also, I have been using Autodesk Inventor for 3D CAD Modelling and Ansys for FEA in order to design and optimisation, and can provide you with mechanical solutions service too if required. Hello, I am an Electrical Engineer with 30 years’ experience of Customized Product Development for Instrumentation and Control applications. THEORETICAL STUDIES: A Maglev Train is to levitate it with magnetic fields so there is no physical contact between the train and the rails (guide ways). There are three primary functions basic to maglev technology: • Levitation or suspension • Propulsion • Guidance. EXPERIMENTAL SETUP: • Electromagnetic Coils • Permanent Magnet • AC Source • Controller • Linear Synchronous Motor • Train • Track METHOD OF ANALYSIS: Levitation: The electromagnets on the underside of the train repels the train up and levitate the train. Propulsion: Propulsion is to exert a force on the magnets in the train to move the train forward. Guidance: Guidance is the method perform by side walls to keep the train on path. DESIGN OUTCOME: Propulsion coils on the guide wall are used to exert a force on the magnets in the train and make the train move forwards. An alternating current flowing through the coils generates a continuously varying magnetic field that moves forward along the track. The frequency of the alternating current is synchronized to match the speed of the train. The offset between the field exerted by magnets on the train and the applied field create a force moving the train forward. At slow speeds, the current induced in these coils and the resultant magnetic flux is not large enough to support the weight of the train. For this reason the train must have wheels or some other form of landing gear to support the train until it reaches a speed that can sustain levitation.
