Assortment of PV Energy collection, Battery Efficiency & EV charging requirements to design a system capable for charging three nissan leaf depending on PV panels. Research and design an electric vehicle charging system for three cars based on the use of solar Photovoltaic collectors to add electrical energy to a battery so that it can be used to charge up to three Nissan Leaf cars. This project will involve a review of literature on PV energy collection, battery Efficiency, EV charge requirements and then some very approximate calculations in order to size the System. If time permits, you should download a 30 day evaluation copy of PV*SOL from Valentin Software and evaluate its use for this type of problem.
