I need to re-design a temperature sensor, a RTD-100. The current design is based on a microchip AN687 (figure 5, page 4).
The issue is that the sensor probe is used under an electromagnetic field, i.e. an induction heater. And that the IC used in our design tends to fail when the sensor probe is placed inside the magnetic field.
Literrature indicates that RTD-100 are safe to use in electromagnetic environment, with few noise. The isse comes most likely from the signal conditionning path.
We are looking at redesigning the sensor, signal conditionning path to make it more robust, and, if possible, simpler.
We only need a 1°C precision. Temperature range is 0°C to 350°C.

hi, proper PCB design by taking ground loops and Common mode noise in account, is required. Then comes signal conditioning with proper filtering from the switching frequency of the induction heater device.
