Public Arts Website

We are responding to an RFP for a public arts website. Here is what we would do: • Work with the client to organize the information and lock down site outline and flow of data • Create Photoshop or Indesign page templates for you to convert to drupal • We would input the data for the pages once your work is completed Site details 28 pieces of art List of all pieces: titles, artists, dates and materials Brief narrative for each piece Public art logo, City Logo Interactive map: details below Photographs of each piece in collection From the RFP: The web site should be compatible and functional on contemporary Android and iOS smart phones, tablets, as well as desktop and laptop computers using current web browsers, like Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Opera, etc. No additional plug ins, like Flash, Silverlight or Java, should need to be installed to use the website. The web site should be usable in the field as a mobile "guidebook” and should be adaptable to evolving media technologies and trends, such as streaming audio, etc. The website should be search engine optimized. The HTML, CSS and JavaScript should conform to current web design standards and best practices. We would like to be able to draw reports, as needed, on the website's traffic using Google Analytics or a similar easy to use tool. The web site must be easy-to-update by non-technical people and easily expanded and modified at a low cost to keep the site flexible, fresh and active. Authorized persons/site administrators should be able to log in and simply update information about a piece of art work, add or replace photos, or other routine site maintenance. The site needs to include a simple interactive map (using Google or OpenStreetMaps), showing locations, photos and descriptions of each piece in the collection, and needs to be fully compatible with mobile devices as well as available for download in a viewer-friendly printed format. The goal is to provide up-to-date, useful information in a variety of convenient formats for users who are interested in exploring and learning about the Art Collection whether they are at home, in the office, or walking around the city. Will most likely set this up with GreenGeeks as Drupal host. Have had good luck with them in the past. Schedule: 2 months from contract date What I will need. • Looking for similar work in portfolio that we can submit with our proposal • Need an ongoing hourly rate for site updates if needed once the site is complete including Drupal security updates
