I have a bachelor's degree and a post graduation in Technology Management so, my language is IT. I was a software developer and just because business analysts could not translate information correctly to us (developers) I switched to be a business analyst.
With years of system requirement gathering from client, I wrote thousands of documents to specify what was really needed and to add value to the system. Most of the time, summarizing difficult business requirements into simple words that stakeholders and developers could clearly understand.
I also take into consideration my audience, where you should write in a polite and polished manner to higher management and be direct and concise to the developers, not missing any detail.
