I need a 'wordsmithed' legal disclaimer for the client to read before I will allow them to download a document from my website. At least 300 words. I want to wording vague, but for it to say 'we cannot guarantee that the courts, or judge, will accept this document/contract even if it is signed. And do not sue us if the court does not accept it.'.
My web site creates a contract between parents who are divorced, or have never been married - we use lawyers in the united states to get divorced. The contract my web site creates at [url removed, login to view] is for child custody - legal custody and physical custody. For example, little Mary may be with Daddy every other weekend and Tuesday night. If both parents sign the document, they have a legal contract in the United States
The problem. We are not a company that provides legal services, we provide you the ability to create your own contract, but we do not tell you what to put in it. It is like buying a car, you can write your own bill of sale, or you can use the one provided by the government - both are legal. In addition, a court may not accept our document even though it meets the requirements.
