Mini travel guides & points of interest in fluent or native English

[login to view URL] is an exciting, start up, digital travel guide company. We are on the look out for NATIVE English speaking writers who live in a major European city that is popular with overseas travellers, and especially Chinese travellers. Target cities include Rome, London, Berlin, Barcelona, Lisbon, Madrid, Paris, Florence, Athens and the like.
You must be a good writer and fanatical about walking the streets of your city - finding interesting things to see and do, in addition of course to knowing the ‘must see’ attractions and museums that should not be missed by a visiting tourist.
We will commission a series of mini travel guides for 1 day or 2 day visits to your city, some themed guides e.g. the best places to eat out, shop or see night life, as well as short descriptions of interesting attractions, buildings and other points of interest located ALL around your city. Re the latter, we will also work with you on suggested points of interest to write up.
Everything will need to be written in fluent or native English and all information will be submitted with GPS coordinates, photos and maybe video. Detailed instructions will be provided concerning this.
We are presently creating a shortlist of interested writers who wish to work with chinaready.today. Work will involve initial creation of a set of travel guides and information, followed by the addition of new points of interest. Existing information will also need to be updated on a scheduled basis e.g. every 6 months.
If you are interested, please state what city or area you live in, what relevant skills you have and what examples of your travel writing you have. Ideally supply an example of past work or pick an interesting attraction or day tour and write a shortish, punchy, maximum one A4 page description of it. We will be selecting writers who can engage and inform an international visitor.
All work must be original and our editorial staff with check for plagiarism from other web sites or information sources.
Google Translate cannot be used when submitting written material. Native or fluent English only will be accepted, and all work will be subjected to editorial review.
Payment will either be on a per word or project basis.
