I need to automate the process of inputing values into a PSD file, using an external excel file. The script should be very fast and easy to use and highly precise in placing the values in the right place in the PSD template I will provide. I will provide a sample PSD template and excel file with sample input values.. Once all values are input, the script/software will then 1) save the PSD template with the same name of the excel file and also 2) save a high quality jpg file of the same PSD document (edited with excel values) in the same folder in local storage (desktop).

You'll need more than just a script. You'll likely need a small console app at least to read the excel document, then call an "ExtendScript" script to call photoshop, insert the content, and save it out. The data reading console app would be specific to your operating system. I could write an application in c# through which you pick an xlsx document, pick the photoshop file to process. If you're okay with saving the file as a ".csv" then an "ExtendScript" script could work directly on the open document and ask for the csv directly in the photoshop UI.
