I have worked on the following sports predictions and related analytics: NFL, NBA, MLB and Cricket. I always wanted to work on Horseracing. I understand the intricacies in this sport. I know that some of the key features for prediction would be type of race, location of racecourse, number of hours running in the race, race distance, speed features, horse experience, measure of trainer quality, measure of jockey skill, age of the horse, previous run count. And one of the sought after outcome to predict is beaten. I want to use various statistical and machine learning techniques such as linear regression, non-linear regression, decision trees, gradient boosting machines etc. to develop a robust model. I am an expert in statistics, probability, math, and machine learning, with a PhD degree in computational physics. I am also an expert in the applications of those methods to the calculation of odds, probabilities, risks, wagers, online betting strategies, and calculation of expected chances and dollar outcomes.
