Program required to remove a section of text from a number of text or html files, which all contain a certain section of text that is to be removed and replace it with an alternative text or replace with nothing at all. This is similar to a search and replace program, except instead of searching for a particular string it will search for a starting string of characters, and having found that, will then search for an ending string of characters and consider all the text between them and the starting and ending string as well as the text which has to be replaced.
Input for the program would be
1: target directory containing files to be stripped
2: starting string - up to 100 characters
3: ending string - up to 100 characters
4: replacement text - 0 to 200 characters
The program should work recursively through any subdirectories of the target directory
If the included file is used as an example the starting string would be
NOTE: Unix type end of line characters would be ignored.
