Build a fake combination lock

Hi there, This is Bogdan from Romania. I'm a mechanical engineer - specialized in the industrial robotic field, 3D designer and modeler (from time to time and some projects I could make the functional prototype too). I'm doing product design, industrial design, reverse engineering, ideation, etc. I have over 15 years experience working on various systems/devices across multiple industries, from concept to launch. 1 - single knob combination lock or three? - the knob(s) will have to make the specific click when twisted? or simply rotation/indexing 2 - what model to be replicated? 3 - the lock/unlock mechanism should be designed to be functional 4 - how visible to be the button on the back of the lock? quite visible, almost invisible or stand out?... 5 - why not just push button to unlock and lock by pressing the hook?... which is the purpose of this mechanism? illustration (3d model), prototyping - 3d printing, or manufacturing (there are several differentiation on the design, accordingly with the purpose)?
