SUMMARY: The project is to develop a real-time "content manager" overlay panel that sits at the bottom of the user's page and allows the user to view, copy, move, and download all of their files, pictures, videos, contacts, and music from their popular website accounts, using the following APIs:
2. Google Drive
3. Sky Drive
8. You Tube
11. Yahoo Mail
This is to be created as part of a larger ASP.NET project where the module will be directly integrated into the bottom of the page. It also is simultaneously being developed as a standalone cross-platform browser extension. Due to this fact, the module that you create should be a web service or some other highly flexible structure so that it can run in a website (which will eventually support tablets and mobile) AND be cloned to run as a browser extension. The two should operate in sync as they will communicate and write to the same MYSQL database(when needed).
SCOPE: This project involves the final delivery of both formats. I need an ASP.NET website as well as a cross platform browser extension that supports Google Chrome, Internet Explorer 9,10, and Firefox. You can use a platform like "cross rider" or "kango" to assist you in developing the cross browser capability. A very rough html prototype without any functionality is available here:
[url removed, login to view]
All of the code necessary to authorize the user via oauth 1.0 and 2.0 has already been written and is fully functional. The required API accounts are established and operational. The user interface is fully designed, mocked up, and assets will be cut. The work is in developing the innovative user interface and writing the API get and post calls, parsing and displaying the JSON and sending and retrieving from the MYSQL database. We are using a windows 2008 server that has the testing and production website as well as the MYSQL database.
Workers : A single full time developer or team of developers
Skill Level: Advanced/Expert
Duration: A maximum of 4-6 weeks, with a shorter duration preferable
Platform: Windows Server 2008 R2, MYSQL Database
Deliverables: ASP.NET fully commented code commited to the SVN, Operational prototype preferably on [url removed, login to view] domain, and browser extension that runs in Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Internet Explorer 9 and later.
BIDDING INSTRUCTIONS: Please make sure you read the attached "content manager detailed requirements document" in full. With your bid you will need to provide the following:
1. Summarize your technical plan. What technology structure or format will you use to create both the ASP.NET website and the browser extension?
2. How long will it take?
3. How many workers will be working on it at once?
4. Please provide examples of your previous work that is similar in some way to this project.
