Looking for someone who can implement an algorithm for variable selection in R. It is a variation on Random Survival Forests (RSF), therefore, preferably you should have knowledge about it. There exists no code or any libraries for it, there is only a pseudocode available which is described in the paper. This algorithm will be used to select variables as a kind of pre-processing phase before applying survival analysis models to it (just as RSF). Please mention in your application that you have read this description and that you understand the scope of this project. Also mention what experience you have with Survival Analysis, R, variable selection techniques, and if applicable on random survival forests. If you do not have experience with RSF, you should be willing to read several papers on it.
