I am looking for someone to create a blog that is modeled after the following website: http://www.jillsavage.org. I would like the new blog to be hosted on the same server as my online ministry (instead of wordpress or some other blog server). Please review the specifications below and provide me with a quote. All files needed are attached. Header and color scheme information: 1. I’d like a color scheme that matches the picture I am using in my header (see attached file titled [login to view URL]). Based upon this photo, I envision that the main blog colors will be turquoise, shades of blue, white and black. Note: When using [login to view URL] in the header, please cropy out the background so only the image if me is displayed (similar to Jill's photo in her website). 2. My menu bar will contain six options: Home About Julie Speaking Ministry Online Ministry Links I Like Testimonials - Home (this is where my blog will be displayed, just like it is in Jill’s blog) - About Julie (I’d like to use same content as the bio page on my [login to view URL]) - Speaking Ministry (The format can change but I’d like to use the same content as the Speaking Info page on [login to view URL]) - Online Ministry (This link should open the website [login to view URL] in a new window/tab.) - Links I Like (This page will display websites I like and a brief description of why I like them.) Note 1: Links should open in a new window if the user clicks on one. Note 2: I would like to organize links by category. I would like the ability to add new and modify or delete existing categories. Note 3: I would like every entry to have an icon that allows users to share the link/blog entry with a friend. Note 4: Under each category, I would like two columns (see examples below) Link Type: Bible Study Info Link: [login to view URL] Why I Like It: I’ve used this website for years to search for verses by key word or chapter and verse. Link: [login to view URL] Why I Like It: I learn so much from Beth Moore’s bible studies. To date, I’ve completed Believing God and Living Beyond Yourself: Growing in the Fruit of the Spirit. Link: [login to view URL] Why I Like It: Although there are many methods for journaling, the one that has stayed with me the most is the S.O.A.P. method, developed by Wayne Cordeiro, who is the founding pastor of New Hope Christian Fellowship in Honolulu, Hawaii. To learn more about this approach, read Wayne’s book The Divine Mentor or visit the first steps page on New Hope’s website or check this church’s online devotions for practical examples of how to use S.O.A.P. daily. Link Category: Friends I Support Link: [login to view URL] Why I Like It: In addition to being an amazing photographer—she took the pictures of the women digging that I use for my podcast, Time Out for Digging Out, and online ministry, [login to view URL]; Beth Volin is known for creating beautiful jewelry. When I was searching for the perfect gift to give a mom who recently lost a child in her seventh month of pregnancy, for example, I looked at several online stores to find a necklace that could be engraved with the names of her children (including the infant she lost). In the end, I realized that I didn’t have to do any research at all because the neatest necklaces I found (and the most affordable) were the ones on Beth’s site. Because I was so happy with the finished product (which I designed by combining elements from several different necklaces), I am excited to share Beth’s website with you. Link: [login to view URL] Why I Like It: Anne Contant took the photos of me that were used to create this blog. She also took several of the photos that appear on my online ministry website, DiggingOutTogether.com. Although I cannot guarantee what Anne’s prices will be at a future date, she charged a very reasonable flat fee when she took my photos. Included in the price was a CD of all the photos she took. How cool is that? If you live in the Chicagoland area, this website is definitely worth checking out. - Testimonials (I’d like this to be a place where users can add comments, just like on Jill’s site). Note: I would like to approve testimonials before they are posted to the site and need a disclaimer that states that all testimonials are subject to approval and will not be posted if they contain content that is objectionable or destrimental to Julie's ministry efforts. Along the right side of the screen, I’d like the following: 3. In the About Me section, I'd like … - hyperlinks to appear in a color that fits my color scheme (just like in Jill Savage’s website). - The text should read: I am a wife, mom to two amazing daughters, and the founder of [login to view URL], an online ministry that offers encouragement for overcoming what is to realize what can be. READ MORE Note: The READ MORE link should take the reader to the About Julie page of this blog (just like in Jill Savage’s website). - The pictures I’d like to scroll through are attached to this e-mail (see [login to view URL] through [login to view URL]) Note: I would like the ability to modify or add more pictures to the slideshow as needed. 4. Instead of using heart-shaped bullet points along the right side of the blog page—like Jill did on her site—I’d like to use a jpg file of the digger I designed (see attached file titled: [login to view URL]) 5. Instead of the heart-shaped icons in the LET”S KEEP IN TOUCH section, is there a way to integrate the facebook, twitter, and e-mail icons with my digger icon? Note: My facebook url is: [login to view URL] My twitter url is: [login to view URL] My e-mail address is: 6. Below the ABOUT ME section, I’d like a section titled “ABOUT MY PODCAST”. After the Podcast header, I’d like the podcast cover art (see attachment titled [login to view URL]) and text that appears below: All experiences, even bad ones, can be used for good if we take the time to learn from them. In every podcast episode, I call upon Scripture and advice from experts to work through problems and find the message that is hidden in the mess of everyday living. Note: To have a printable version of Time Out for Digging Out delivered monthly to your inbox (along with related photos and links), fill out the fields below and click on the button to subscribe. Note 1: Visitors who click on the image should be directed to the iTunes url for my podcast: [login to view URL] Note 2: The easy way to get visitors to subscribe to my newsletter is to provide a link to my existing subscribe page: [login to view URL] 7. Remove the Jill Savage Live box. 8. Keep the twitter box and use it to display my information instead of Jill’s ([login to view URL]). 9. Remove the first categories column below the Jill Savage Live box. I would like just one column to display categories. 10. Leave the Blog Archives section as is (I like the user being able to look at entries by month). 11. Leave the box that shows the number of visits. 12. Add bookmarklets that allow readers to share a link to my content with friends on facebook, twitter, and via e-mail. 13. Add a link that allows readers to share my blog website with a friend. 14. Remove the KIDS MEAL DEALS section. 15. Allow visitors to subscribe to this blog via e-mail or rss feed. 16. Provide a site map and do whatever is needed to make the blog optimized for search engines. Please let me know if you have any questions.
