Advanced search on wordpress website - repost

Project Description: ## Introduction ## This is a job for an existing Wordpress website ([login to view URL]) running the premium Classipress theme in combination with an Advanced Search plugin. Others can then browse the site and contact the seller for of an object if they are interested. ## What we're trying to achieve ## We want to make the site more user-friendly and therefore are working on adding advanced search functionality. The idea is that people searching for an object e.g a car can pre-select cars by mileage, price, year of make, colour, make, model (all the catergories have been defiend). We need a styling like this: ): [login to view URL] You can decide the use the advanced search plugin we bought or just use the advanced search of the classipress theme. When users perform a search, we want to make it possible for them to first select an object e.g a car make (like Audi, BMW, Volkswagen, etc.) from a drop-down menu and then to select a model (like A3, A4, A5, etc.) from a subsequent drop-down menu. We want the second drop-down menu to change dynamically based on the choice in the first drop-down menu. So if someone chooses "Audi" from the car-make drop-down menu, we want the model drop-down menu to show only Audi models. ## The problem ## The problem we have is that we have entered all the categories and sub categories in the database, but are unable to bring the search to behave exactly like [login to view URL] and be placed exactly as this one is placed. The design of the website should also closely look like this with our colors ofcourse. We have our front page which is done in wordpress so you should connect our frontpage to the website. When one enters the site, one should be able to search an object as follows: [login to view URL], that is the object, the categorie, and the town ## Your job ## Your job would be as follows: A: To create the connection between categories and subcategories . B: To create the set of dynamic drop-down menus described above. This set of menus needs to work in 2 places: 1. On the advanced search page, 2. On the page where users can post their object for sale for sale, i.e. this page: This way e.g new cars added to the site will have their make and model connected (This has already been done). ## Notes ## - The website is in French, but as you'll be working mainly in code this probably is no issue.
