I have many Mitsibushi CP9810DW printers. They are photo printers that print out 4x6" photos and cut the paper off a roll of 6" wide paper.

I have obtained the SDK (software developers kit)

I prefer working with people in the USA However I will consider people outside the USA if they have high speed internet and can remotely log into my pc using a program like teamviewer.

I am looking to use the mitsibushi 9810 printer with a custom made

c++ hot folder printing program. However I want the printer to do 2x6"

strips and 4x6" capability. I have spoken to Mitsubishi and they have given

me the SDK for this machine (see attached zip file) I have a lot of these

printers so I'm thinking a software solution would probably be cheaper than

upgrading all of them.

They have told me the following:

the hotfolder printing C++ software would have to create a direct custom

driver without windows printer support

there is a folder with a USB update program that

converts the usb printing support to a mitsibushi printer port

Since the SDK is only for custom integration with a program I could not use

a program that uses standard printer support like photoshop;.it will not

see the printer.

This sdk is for developing a printer driver which will replace standard

windows printer driver.

There is a sample application (c++6) that will help programmer to see how

it works. The PDF file on page 34 shows the "cut5" needs to be selected for

the printer to cut strips in half.

I would also like the option if possible to have a super long strip FOUR

4x6" prints that are only cut once leaving a 16" x 6"long strip.. I'm not

sure if the SDK supports this.

The program you make would basically monitor a folder for new JPEG iamges.

Once a new image appears it would create a bitmap file and send it to the

mitsibushi printer to be cut in half making 2 strips each 2x6" in size

(bottom option page 34, #5)

The second option would be to create a HUGE 6x16" piece of paper, not sure

if SDK supports this. Downloading the exsisiting driver would be of no use since this project requires you to work with the SDK.
