Dear Alexa Fischer:
Greetings and good evening, Ma'm. I am Mr. Arthur H. Benitez, a graduate of B.S. in Computer Science from the MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology, the University of the Philippines' sister school here in the southern major island of Mindanao, Philippines.
I was quite happy to see your "Closed Captioning" job ad here because 1.] I've had various experiences, not just as a freelance transcriptionist, but also as a former teacher (and Department Head at that) of Medical Transcription in a technical school here where I used to work; and 2.] From what you've described as the nature of the job, it doesn't seem to be very difficult actually, considering that YouTube/Google does a very good job of identifying spoken English words, especially those made by a female English speaker like you. So, if I were to require some "training" from you, it would more be about the "mechanics" of doings the job rather than "having" the skills to do the job.
And to signify my enthusiasm/good faith to work with you Ma'm, I have "put in" one of the smallest bids possible here, and I could probably even go "lower" if I find the job very easy. Also, I could work on a "trial" basis for you for say, 1 to 2 days for you to see/evaluate if I'm the "right fit" for the job.
Well, that's all that I could "say" for now, Ma'm Alexa. I look forward to hearing from you again and to actually start working for you, even on a "trial" basis yet. Until then, thank you and God Bless..
