SD Card Bootloader for PIC32MX570F512H

We have developed our target hardware using a Microchip PIC32MX570F512H device with USB and SD Card slot. The hardware is tested and working and will be supplied for development purposes. We have an existing application running on the target that is fully working without a bootloader Microchip support SD Card Bootloading for this device, see application note AN1388 [login to view URL] The project deliverable is to build an SD Card bootloader project using Microchip MPLAB X in C based on the AN1388 example and modify the existing application to work with the bootloader. Microchip MDD SD card functionality (FAT filesystem) also needs to be added to the existing application code. There is a button on the hardware to invoke the bootloader. The application should respond to the button being pressed and start the bootloader. The bootloader will mount the SD card and look for a hex file image to program, erase flash and program the new application and then run the application. Bootloader status will be indicated via the two LEDs on the target. A sample of the target hardware will be supplied to the successful Freelancer for development use, however they will need their own PICKit3 for development programming and debugging. It is USB powered so needs no additional hardware to function.
