Creating and customizing a company portal using Sharepoint 2010. The created portal will be used internally for the purpose of exchanging information between the companies departments.
Main features should be supported:
- the docs on the portal libraries( word, pdf files) should be able in different kinds of versions: major/minor.
-ability to search through the docs
-division of roles, Active directory
-sending notifications on new versions being available
-ability to integrate with Microsoft Project server for reporting.
No additional design is needed.
As per the requirements mentioned for this project, following is our understanding and approach of the execution of the project
1)Depending on the complexity of the Customization and considering the business value tools either Visual Studio or Sharepoint Designer will be chosen
2)Versioning can be configured using Sharepoint Builtin feature and Depending on the complexity, alerts can be configured using builtin features or custom event handlers can be created.
3)Sharepoint Builtin security framework can be used to configure security roles
4)Enterprise search can be configured for document search
5)Project Server 2010 can be integrated with Sharepoint Server 2010 enterprise version
HI This looks a bit simple project as we need to use all out-of-box things to workaround we may need a workflow if required..i have a team of 5 persons will complete in 24 days
I have 4+ yrs of SharePoint experience. I am working for the co. where SharePoint was built. I want to extend my arms in free lancing as well and should be able to complete the requirements pretty soon than estimated.
