Project Description: Looking for a approach to deploy a Java web application on Windows. Application dependencies : • Java • MySQL Expectations from Installer 1. Pr-requisite Check Java version - Installation of MySQL If mentioned above not preset, it should provide options for automated install or Manual. 2. Set environment Variables 3. Execute a migration scripts to create the database tables in MySQL 4. OS support : Windows 5. Needs to install the applicaiton as a Windows service, most likely using Apache procrun 6. Ability to uninstall application and service It should be built based on open source like NSIS or other, to give possibility to do further modifications to installer file. In Brief : Installer need to install the application, MySQL, and run db migrations/setup. At the end, users only need to start the tomcat and MySQL service. Go to browser can access the web application. Hours of work: 1 - 4 weeks

Well, I usually use Inno Setup or WiX toolset to build installers, so, if NSIS is not a must, please consider my bid too. I'll use latest NSIS installer (CE). Script will check JAVA release (currently active, not the ones installed on server) and MYSQL release (from 5.1 to 5.6). If script don't find JAVA or MYSQL it point to website or download automatically (only one approach, not both). About #2, it's possible to add user variables. If you need system ones, script must run with administration rights About #5, user must grant administrator rights. I'll delivery the .script source
